About Cham Cypress
Cham old Cypress is one of the oldest trees in Iran.
Cham Cypress is located in Cham, an all-zoroastrian village in Taft.
Interestingly, Cham Cypress following Abarkuh Cypress (Sarv-e Abarkuh) is the second oldest tree in Yazd province.
It is estimated that this cypress with the height of 28 m is around 3500 years old.
Nabat is a woman from a few remained villagers who has taken care the cypress for last 50 years.
Cham Cypress was registered in Iran National Natural Monuments in November 16, 2009 with registration No. 40.
