Architecture of Mortaz House of Yazd
This Qajar house has two outer and inner sections, each of which has a separate courtyard and entrance. In this Qajari house, each architectural element can be seen in its most beautiful form.
The area of the inner courtyard is about three times bigger than the area of the outer courtyard and its large hall is taller than the surrounding buildings. The hall is at the top of the courtyard and is totally dominant. The surroundings are in the architectural order of the traditional houses. In a way that more important spaces are located in the main part of the house and inferior spaces are located between important ones. a unique feature of the house is that its all parts have been built in two floors.
The Indoor Yard has plaster muqarnas and plaster Karbandi on the upper floor valves. In the corners of the courtyard, there are unique vestibules.
