Moshir Caravanserai Yazd Hotel

Moshir Caravanserai was built more than 150 years ago by Fathollah Moshir al-Mamalek in historic city of Yazd at the time of Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar. The owner of the caravanserai converted it to a traditional hotel and it was opened as a two-star hotel in 2006. This monument has been registered in the List of National Iranian Monument.
Traditional Moshir Caravanserai Hotel is located in the historic texture of Moshir bazaar in Imamzadeh Jafar Boulevard, Yazd. It has a very large old two-leaf wooden gate which is always open to customers and guests. Passing through the door, you will reach a large corridor which has stonework on the floor and arches and vaults on the roof. There are some stone platforms decorated by small frames, covered by nice traditional rugs and cushions. The stone steps at the end of the corridor will lead you to a magnificent courtyard of the Moshir Hotel. The courtyard has a long pond with three stone fountains in the middle and it is surrounded by four charming flower gardens. The magnificent architectural and beauty masterpiece of Moshir Caravanserai Hotel is the wooden windows and doors of the traditional rooms opening towards the courtyard. These windows are artistically located on two floors in symmetry, two by two are the opposite, standing in front of one-another, making a unique scene in the yard. The 2-star Moshir Caravanserai Hotel has 17 rooms (3-door and 5-door rooms), which have a total of 43 beds. However, each room can be extended to a sofa and an extra mattress.
