Shabestan Hotel in Ardakan

The Shabestan Hotel is originally a historic house related to the Qajar era, which was used as a house until 1977 and it is known as Tabaee House. The house was converted to a traditional hotel after renovation.
Passing through the alleyways of historical part of Ardakan, just the opposite of the Dejog Mill, you will see a traditional house with wooden doors, over which the name of the hotel is written in Persian on a turquoise tile. The first part of the hotel is a traditional cozy vestibule connected to the courtyard.
The charming and rectangular courtyard with wooden doors is surrounded by adobe and stucco decorated walls. In Shabestan Ecolodge, there is also a high hall with a badgir which contains the couches, seats, wooden chairs, and tables. Interestingly, there is a beautiful fountain giving a spectacular perspective to the hotel. The hall in the courtyard is a delightful place to enjoy traditional cuisine and drinks taken from the restaurant and the traditional tea house.
On the left side of the yard, there is a few brick steps to underground which is the entrance to a dried deadly traditional canal of water. The walls, the domed ceilings, and the floor of Shabestan Traditional Hotel are covered with old bricks which makes a very cold atmosphere where guests can sit on the carpeted wooden couches and enjoy their journey to Ardakan.
