Dolat Abad Garden, one of the Nine Persian Gardens
Interestingly, Dowlat Abad Garden with area of 70,000 m2 was registered in list of UNESCO's gardens in 2011.
Entering the garden , we pass through the vestibule to get to its long pool. On the right, there we can see the summer mansion or Shah Neshin and on the left, we can see the winter mansion or mirror hall of the house.
Let's enter the two - floor vestibule with four rooms and a centric part in the middle of which there is a pool. Just here, we can feel synthesis of air and water flows most beautifully. Looking at the windows, we can be astonished by colorful glasses used which has made the room, a room with Sash windows, a picturesque place for taking photos.
The World's Highest Badgir in Dolat Abad Garden
The badgir that we can see here is the loftiest adobe badgir in Iran with the height of 33.08 m.
Staying a short time in the room with the badgir , we will feel a cool breeze which is the result of standing below the world's loftiest badgir ( wind tower ). Coming here in high season, we can visit a large number of visitors standing or lying down who are taking photos of this architectural masterpiece.
The History of Dolat Abad Garden
It is interesting to know that Mohammad Taqi Khan , known as Khan-e Bozorg ( Senior Khan ), ordered to dig a qanat with the length of 65 km first to run Mehriz Qanat water through Dolat Abad Garden and then in 1160 SH (1739 AD) in Afshariye Dynasty, this magnificent garden was built. Mehriz Qanat water passing Mehriz and some other villages ran through the pool below the badgir in summer mansion; then, running through three other pools of the garden reached the entrance of the garden .
In general, the whole monument with an area of 8 ha. includes a vestibule and a badgir, a mirror hall, paradise monument and two entrances. It should be mentioned that Dolat Abad Garden was used both for living and governing.
It is said that Karim Khan, the founder of Zand Dynasty, had lived there for a while.

Dolat Abad Garden ( Bagh-e Dolat Abad ) was registered in Iran National Monument in March 13, 1968 with registration No. 774.
