Mehriz is a city of Yazd province, located in the center of it, which has a milder climate than the city of Yazd.
Mehriz is a collection of villages which old name was Mehrijard attributed to Mehr Negar, the daughter of Anushiruwan ( Khosrow I ).
The souvenirs of this city include pomegranate, pistachio, almond, and carpet.
The city has many historical attractions to visit such as historical houses and castles, which attract both domestic and foreign tourists.
One of these important places is Saryazd Fortress, which is the oldest and largest bank safe deposit box in Iran and in the world. This fund was built in the Sassanid era to save food, money, gold, jewelry and etc.
